Portrait from Drawing to Painting
Nov 7th- 9th 2026
(3 days)

There will be two models in the studio at the same time. The capacity of the class is 8. This means one model is shared between four , which guarantees everyone a 5 ft distance from their subject. This is exceptional situation and is why the course fees are an extra £25. In addition to this the models will swap places so everyone has a chance paint both for a period of 5 -6 hours each. The first day will be set up for drawing studies in preparation for two days of painting
Tuition is basically on a one to one basis. There are also group reviews of the work during the day plus a few demonstrations.
Materials:
We have large sheets of paper, drawing materials and various paints and canvases in stock. You can use oil and gouache paints at £8 a day. Otherwise bring materials of your choice. The studio is fully equipped with 9 studio easels, work stations and drawing boards.
We try to avoid anyone making a large purchase of unnecessary materials as this could easily cost a lot more than a course ! The basics are here, It’s best to start by letting us know what materials you already have. Bringing a set of your own brushes is a good idea. We also have painting panels, canvasses and primed paper as well as drawing papers. If you have your own materials please bring them.We have back up stock but not enough to supply everyone.
Booking& Fees. To reserve a place requires a deposit 0f £100 . Then the final payment (£220 ) is due on the 7 October 7th, one month before the course starts.
