There are two models in the studio at the same time. The class capacity is eight, so one model is shared between four people. This gives everyone approximately five feet of space from the subject. This unusual arrangement is why the course fee is an additional £25.
The models swap places so that everyone has the opportunity to paint both of them for five to six hours each. The first day is devoted to drawing studies in preparation for two days of painting.
Tuition
Tuition is primarily one-to-one. There are also group reviews during the day and a few demonstrations.
Materials
We have large sheets of paper, drawing materials and a range of paints and canvases in stock. Oil and gouache paints can be used for £8 per day. Otherwise, bring the materials of your choice. The studio is fully equipped with nine studio easels, workstations and drawing boards.
We try to prevent anyone from making a large and unnecessary purchase, as materials could easily cost more than the course. Please begin by telling us what you already have. Bringing your own brushes is a good idea. We also have painting panels, canvases, primed paper and drawing paper. Our stock is available as a backup, but there is not enough to supply everyone fully.

Booking and fees
A deposit of £100 is required to reserve a place. The final payment of £220 is due on 7 October, one month before the course starts.
Levels
All levels are accepted, with at least two places reserved for beginners.
