Niel Bally runs all the courses from his studio. Joining him on the summer landscape course in September are two visiting tutors.
Professor James Goff. James Goff is a geologist who has settled near here. On the first morning of the Landscape Course James gives you a guided tour of the area explaining the many layers and uses of this landscape through the ages and time.
Vironica Gibson, Veronica Gibson is a landscape painter from Brecon. She joins us on the summer landscape course for the 4th season in September
Resident Tutor

NIEL BALLY
Niel moved back to Wales in 1998 having spent 25 years in London and abroad painting and teaching. He has exhibited widely and received traditional training beginning with the Ruskin School of Fine Art and Drawing in Oxford and then the West Surrey College of Art and Design. On the link below you will find a selection of Niel’s paintings and drawings.
Since the 1980’s he has run his courses and taught in several art schools and adult education colleges, including Wimbledon School of Art, Canterbury, Putney, Rhodes University (RSA) and Camden Institute London.
Underpinning Niel’s teaching abilities is a significant knowledge of painting and drawing methods with a wide understanding of both modern and traditional approaches to representational and abstract art.
