Saturday is an exploratory drawing day using various approaches and materials in response to poses ranging from two minutes to an hour. Sunday and Monday are arranged for painting, with individual poses lasting from two to five hours.
Drawing is encouraged as much as painting, so the longer sessions suit painters as well as those who prefer prolonged drawing. Tasks are set, but instruction is mostly one-to-one and tailored to individual needs and experience. Many members of the group attend regularly, so the aim is to help everyone take their work to a further stage.
Levels
The course is suitable for intermediate and advanced students. Some experience of life drawing and painting is therefore useful. A couple of places are reserved for beginners.
The studio
The purpose-built studio is spacious and has excellent light from a large expanse of roof lights. Studio easels and workstations are provided. View the studio, house and location.
