Portrait Painting & Drawing Course

Studio. Painters and Sitter at work

There will be two models in the studio at the same time. The capacity of the class is eight. This means  one model is shared between four, which guarantees everyone about  5 ft  distance from their subject. This is rare. In addition to this the models will swap places so everyone has a chance paint both  for a period of  5 -6 hours each. The first day will be set up for drawing and working in monochrome.

Tuition is basically on a one to one basis. However, there are group reviews of the work during the day plus a few demonstrations.

Materials: (for portrait painting and drawing course)

We have large sheets of paper, drawing materials and various paints and canvases in stock. You can use oil and gouache paints for £8 a day. Otherwise bring materials of your choice. The studio is fully equipped with  8 studio easels, work stations and drawing boards and clips

We try to avoid anyone making a large purchase of unnecessary materials as this could easily cost you a lot  more than the course ! The basics are here, but  you may want want to supplement this, so  please ask for advice and contact us.(07801 235059 ) It’s best to start by letting us know what materials you already have.
