Weekend Colour Workshop
Colour Workshop is ideal for beginners, it is also a very good refresher for the more advanced . The ground covered during the course is essential for all visual art practices , such as interior decorating, design , textiles, printing and painting. No drawing skills are needed or required. The course is total immersion in the delight and understanding of colour. You will learn how it works, blends and harmonises. You will also learn about discords and when colour combinations do not work . This course is highly recommended and popular. The fee includes all materials.
In addition, the Colour Workshop is designed to give you a practical understanding of colour theory needed for painting and design. These fundamentals are applied to mixing and cross mixing colours, matching and enhancing them. The pieces of work you will end up with will be invaluable reference material as well as art works in themselves. After working on various exercises and colour charts this knowledge is then put to task by working on abstract designs as well as painting directly from observed objects and backgrounds.Visit this Gallery to see more examples of course work
The examples shown illustrate what can be achieved by only using white and the three primaries of red ,yellow and blue. In addition to this all the blacks/darks were made from the 3 primary colours and likewise all the greys.
